Crash Puts Pedestrian In Critical Condition: PD A senior is in the hospital after police said he was hit by a car in Marple Township on Saturday morning, Dec. 23.  The elderly man was crossing Broomall Avenue when he was struck by a southbound vehicle near West Chester Pike around 10:20 a.m., township police said in a release.  He was rushed to Lankenau Hospital where he was placed in critical condition, authorities wrote. The driver remained on-scene and police said they are cooperating with investigators.  Marple police and Delaware County detectives are investigating, the release adds.
