Woman Falls To Death From Bridge Above US Rt 30: Lancaster Coroner
A woman sitting on a bridge over US Route 30 fell to her death and authorities have been unable to identify her, according to multiple releases coming out from Lancaster County on Tuesday morning. The unnamed woman was seen by a witness sitting on the side wall of the New Holland Pike Bridge over US Rt 30 at 5:30 a.m. on July 2, according to a release by the Manheim Township police. Dump Truck Crashes Into Amish Family's Bird-In-Hand Home
An Amish family's home was struck by a dump truck on Thursday morning, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The truck's cab's front right tire appears to have blown out based on photos shared by Daniel Stoltzfus who also witnessed the crash. He wrote the following in part in a social media post: "I heard something and looked up. The truck went between the tree and the house." Man Dies 12 Days After Serious Central PA Crash, Police Say
A man has died in the hospital from injuries sustained in a serious car crash the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department announced on Monday, April 22. Malcolm Parker, 74 of Lancaster City, was taken to an area hospital follow a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and New Street in East Petersburg Borough, Stevens that happened around 3:53 p.m. on April 7, the department detailed in the release. Crash Closes Roadway In Waynesboro, Police Say
A crash in Waynesboro shut down an intersection, police announced on Tuesday afternoon. The police notified the press about the crash at the intersection of South Potomac and West Fifth streets in Waynesboro at 3:45 p.m. on April 9. The public was asked to avoid the area. Tractor-Trailer Rollover Crash On I-81 Clears: PennDOT
A tractor-trailer crash caused miles of delays on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials told Daily Voice on Tuesday, April 2. The tractor-trailer rolled over after it crashed at mile marker 93.5 on I-81 northbound at 1 p.m. on April 2, PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler explained. Traffic was diverted starting at Exit 90: PA 72 - LEBANON and all lanes were closed through Exit 100: PA 443 - PINE GROVE. There is no word from the scene about any injuries, and it is unknown what was in the trailer. The roadway reopened at 5 p.m.

A trooper who crashed his patrol vehicle into a street sign will not be charged, according to a Pennsylvania State Police release on Thursday, March 7. Trooper Daniel C. A hazardous materials clean-up crew was called to a cracking situation in Mercersburg. The tractor-trailer carrying eggs had some of its cargo break open and leak into the West Branch Conococheague Creek, according to the Mercersburg Area Fire Fighters and EMTs, IAFF Local 5421. The emergency crews were called to the mess in the 9100 block of Heisey Road around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2023. The road reopened later that day.
