Pedestrian Struck In Hit-Run, Lower Paxton Police Say A pedestrian strike by a hit-and-run driver is under investigation in Lower Paxton, police announced on Tuesday, Jan. 9.  The prdestrian was hit by an SUV — possibly a Ford Explorer — in the first block of Franklin Street at the intersection with Lexington Street, just south of Jonestown Road, the police explained.  The incident happened at about 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, as detailed in the release.  The driver headed west on Lexington Street after striking the person when the turned from Franklin Street.
