13-Year-Old Hit While Crossing Street In Berks County: Authorities A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after he was hit while crossing the street on Tuesday, Feb. 20, according to Spring Township police.  The boy was struck by an eastbound Toyota Carolla on the 2800 block of Windmill Road, the department said. It happened near Wilson Southern Middle School, where he is a student, they added. Child Caught With Bricks Of Heroin, Loaded Gun In Western PA: Police A 13-year-old boy has been arrested after he was found with bricks of heroin in western Pennsylvania, authorities say.  The young teen "was loitering suspiciously in the back yard of a residence along Russellwood Avenue,"  McKees Rocks police say.  Following an investigation, he was found to have stolen a 9mm gun, according to the release.  Three bricks of heroin and the loaded gun were seized from the boy when he was taken into custody.  Additional information was unavailable as the incident involves a minor.

Boy, 13, Hospitalized In Berks Hit-Run, Police Say A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized after having his lower body run over by a hit-and-run driver in Berks County Monday afternoon, authorities said. The boy was walking home from school on Roosevelt Avenue in Lower Alsace Township around 3 p.m. when the 18-year-old driver ran over his legs and fled the scene, according to Central Berks police Det. Sgt. Deron Manndel. Witnesses were able to help officers identify the driver, who was not publicly named, police said.
