Criminal Past Revealed About Pennsylvania Man Accused Of Assaulting Ranger On Appalachian Trail UPDATE: David Edward Browne, 27, of Shippensburg, is in Pennsylvania State Police custody as of 10:46 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25. According to Trooper Frazer he was taken in without further incident following the fires on the Appalachian Trail and the alleged assault of a ranger.  Daily Voice readers claim he was found near Interstate 81.
