City Employee Shot In South Philadelphia: Police A Philadelphia city employee is in the hospital after police say he was shot multiple times on Thursday morning, Sept. 7.  The man was on the 2300 block of Oakford Street in South Philly when he was shot in the lower back and left forearm, the department told Daily Voice.  He was rushed to Jefferson University Hospital by first responders and placed in critical condition, police said. It's not clear if he was on duty when he was shot.  No weapon was recovered from the scene and no arrests had been made as of late Thursday morning, they added.
