A man armed with a hammer has been arrested for swinging at his dad and threatening his mom then hiding in a closet and taunting a police dog over the weekend in Bucks County, police said.
Police were called to a Wisteria Drive home in Warrington around 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, where 52-year-old Michael P. Bowen, Jr. had put his hand over his mother's face and was shoving her, knocking her glasses of, local police said.

A cockfighting ring was uncovered in the garage of a Bucks County home this week, officials said.
Twenty-five people fled when officials from the Bucks County SPCA and Plumstead police arrived to the Doylestown property Sunday afternoon, Feb. 18, the Bucks SPCA said.
Cesar Cordova-Morales, who remained at the scene, was detained by police. He was carrying a satchel containing several bottles of steroids, cutting instruments, string, artificial metal spurs, spur covers, and other items commonly used in cockfighting, police said. A Monroe County pair are accused of endangering children and neglecting their pets after police say they were found living in "deplorable conditions" at their Hamilton Township home.
Kevin Connolly, 39, and Amanda Aulito, 33, were arrested on Monday, July 3 and remanded in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to the Monroe County District Attorney's Office and state court records.

Acting on a tip from a Good Samaritan, officers seized 11 dogs, 27 cats, 5 horses, 4 sheep, 1 goat, 2 turkeys, 32 chicks, 4 guinea hens, 6 hens and 8 baby ducks from the property on Pumping Station Road in Quarryville.
