22-Year-Old Man In 'Critical Condition' After Crash In Montco, Police Say
A Limerick motorcyclist was severely injured in a crash with a minivan in Upper Providence on Monday, June 3, township police say. The 22-year-old was headed east on Black Rock Road when he lost control on the curve at Olympic Road, authorities said. His bike crossed over into the westbound lane and struck the minivan. Police said he was taken to a trauma center in critical condition while the driver of the minivan was treated for minor injuries at the scene. A Spring City man is charged with more than 500 counts in two separate cases of alleged forgery, identity theft, and related offenses, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. Joshua Hartmann, 41, stole mail from residents in Schuylkill Township, Phoenixville, Malvern, Tredyffrin, Upper Providence, and Lower Providence for months, prosecutors claim. An accused DUI driver has been arrested in connection with a crash that killed two women in Montgomery County early this year. Montco Firefighters Rescue Trapped Deer From Schuylkill Canal
A good samaritan and quick-thinking first responders teamed up to rescue a deer who had fallen into the Schuylkill Canal in Montgomery County on Sunday, April 30. Area resident Timothy Saja reported the trapped doe near lock 60 in Upper Providence sometime before 3 p.m., officials wrote on Facebook. Township police and a county Park Ranger joined firefighters from engine 68 at the scene. The owner of the dump truck that killed a pregnant Montgomery County mom is now facing criminal charges, authorities say. Kellie Adams of Lansdale, 31, and her Upper Providence firefighter husband Jason were expecting a child when she was struck head-on by a DWI dump truck driver in August 2022, prosecutors have said. A man with a truck full of firearms was injured when he shot at police and they returned fire overnight, authorities in Montgomery County said. The suburban Philadelphia police community is in mourning following the untimely death of one of their own. Officer Joshua "Josh" Micun died Sunday after contracting a COVID-19 related illness, according to the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department. Officer Micun was most recently named Westtown-East Goshen officer of the year by his peers, police said. Pottstown Woman Had 47 Heroin Baggies, Meth In Routine Traffic Stop, State Police Say
A 53-year-old Pottstown woman was busted with 47 baggies of heroin and four grams of methamphetamine, authorities said. Barbara Guerrero, was in a 2009 Ford Focus, when troopers pulled her over for unknown traffic violations just before midnight on the westbound side of Route 422/S. Collegeville Road in Upper Providence May 10, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release. Skippack troopers arrested Guerrero, with charges expected to be filed in District Court, the news release says.
