Police Rescue Bald Eagle In Philly Suburbs
Officials in Bensalem were called to an apartment complex to assist an injured bird on Thursday, Sept. 21, and arrived to find a bald eagle, say township police. The department's animal control officer safely captured the eagle from the Courtyards at Bensalem on Hulmeville Road and turned the bird over to the Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center in Chalfont, authorities said. Missing Allentown Dad's Remains Recovered In Delaware River: Bucks Coroner
The remains of an Allentown dad who went missing late last year were recovered from the Delaware River in Solebury Township over the weekend, the Bucks County Coroner's Office has confirmed. Solebury police were called to Virginia Forrest Recreation Area on Route 32 around 10:15 a.m on Sunday, April 9, the department said in a release. On the scene, officers spotted "what appeared to be a deceased subject" on a boulder in the river, and removed the remains with assistance from New Hope and Point Pleasant firefighters. A former councilman from Bucks County was found dead after being reported missing. David Nay, 55, of Morrisville, was reported missing to Solebury Township police on May 5, having last been seen on April 29 around 2 p.m., launching an investigation.
