Armed Barricade Situation Ends In Arrest: Lehigh Township Police A standoff in Walnutport ended in an arrest on Wednesday morning, April 24, according to Lehigh Township police.  Adam Banotai, 41, is being held in lieu of a $30,000 bail, authorities said. Standoff Ends Peacefully In Exeter A Berks County man was arrested uninjured Sunday following a police standoff in Exeter, authorities said. Police were called to a house near Schoffers Road and Route 562 around 2 p.m. after a man called EMS and threatened authorities, according to WFMZ and the Exeter Police Department. This prompted a shelter-in-place order, which was in effect until 5:10 p.m. when the incident was resolved peacefully, police said.

Shelter-In-Place Order Lifted Following Chlorine Leak In Downingtown A shelter-in-place order has been lifted Tuesday morning after a chlorine leak in the Johnsontown section of Downingtown (Chester County), authorities said. Fire crews responded around 4:30 a.m. to the Downingtown Sewer Plant on 550 Brandywine Ave., according to Downingtown police chief Howard Holland. Crews secured the leak and the order was cleared around 9:30 a.m., Holland said. Route 322 was temporarily shut down between Boot Road and Bradford Avenue, East Brandywine fire officials said. No further information was immediately available.
