Christina Bortz Embezzled $24,000 From Giant: Spring Twp. PD A grocery store employee in Spring Township is accused of bilking tens of thousands of dollars from her employer, authorities say.  Christina Bortz, 53, is charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, according to court records.  Spring police said Bortz works as the "checkout coach" or accounting employee at Giant and admitted to taking about $24,000 from the company.  Bortz, of Sinking Spring, was released on her own recognizance and is due back for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 26, court records show.

Lancaster Foods is voluntarily recalling three brands of Robinson Fresh, Lancaster, and Giant brand kale, spinach, and collard green products after a random sample tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes by the New York Agriculture and Markets Food Safety Division.
