Homicide Suspect Arrested For Shooting By Recovery House Of Worship York
A 22-year-old man has been arrested six months to the day after a deadly shooting in York City, area police announced on Thursday, July 6, 2023.
Stephon Damieen Brown, 22, of New Freedom, has been arrested on charged with homicide for the shooting death of Demetres Lewis.
Demetres Lewis, 34, of the 1000 block of Edison Street in York was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds in the 100 block of South Belvidere Street in York City on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 12:33 a.m. by Chief Deputy Coroner Tania Zech, according to a release the night after the shooting.

A 20-year-old man who was wanted as the primary suspect in a homicide in York, has turned himself in, authorities announced on Friday, May 5, 2023.
Olajuwon Brabham, was shot in the 400 block of Salem Avenue in York City and police arrived to find him at 10:22 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2023, according to an earlier release by the city police department.
