New information has been released about a quadruple fatal crash involving seven people fleeing from a trooper, authorities told Daily Voice on Thursday morning.

A red Ford Taurus sedan with seven people inside sped off when a PA State Police vehicle with lights and sirens on attempted to pull them over at 1:32 p.m. on April 24, Trooper Eugene Tray detailed a release on Wednesday night.

Following a brief pursuit, the trooper turned off their lights and sirens as the Taurus continued and immediately crashed, according to the release.

"Multiple occupants of the fleeing vehicle were killed," Tray stated in the release which showed all seven people had passed.

The following morning, Ryan Herlinger, with Delaware County Public Relations,  sent us the following statement with an updated death toll:

"we had three adults and a 17-year-old who was pregnant (4 plus a fetus). "

The crash happened on Route 322/Conchester Highway at the intersection with Chichester Avenue in Upper Chichester Township, Delaware County, as Daily Voice initially reported.  

Herlinger said the names of the victims will not be released until all of the next of kin have been notified. 

PSP Philadelphia is leading the investigation into this fatal crash.
