Triple Twister Touch Down: Tornadoes Confirmed By NWS In Pennsylvania Three tornadoes have been confirmed to have touched down in Central Pennsylvania on Monday, Aug. 7, the National Weather Service confirmed on Friday, Aug. 18, 2023.  According to NWS, the first tornado started near the south side of North Church Street in Black Rock around 5:02 p.m. and ended around 5:05 p.m. near Glenville Road. The EF1 tornado's 105 MPH winds damaged trees along its 75-yard path, NWS explained.
