Less than a year after moving to the United States of America a 12-year-old Ugandan boy has drowned in a Pennsylvania lake, his family announced on Monday, Aug. 21. Shaakir Kisubi has been identified as the 12-year-old who drowned at Blue Marsh Lake in Reading on Aug. 19, according to his father Hakim. Body Pulled From Blue Marsh Lake Identified: Report
A body pulled from Blue Marsh Lake in Berks County over the weekend has been identified, WFMZ reports. Crews were called to the Dry Brooks Day Use Area, where the body of Ernesto Feliz, 27, of New York City, was recovered from the water Sunday, July 24, the outlet says. Officials told WFMZ the man was going after a ball in the lake when he swam too far out and never made it back to shore. The news comes nearly two months after 20-year-old Albert Castro Beato drowned after going for a swim in Blue Marsh Lake, authorities said. Click here for more from WFMZ.

Albert Castro Beato moved to Lebanon, PA from the Dominican Republic a few months ago in search of a good job to help his parents back home, loved ones said. But, the 20-year-old man drowned after going for a swim in the Blue Marsh Lake in Penn Township (Berks County) around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5, according to local fire officials and the county coroner's office. A 20-year-old Lebanon County man drowned in a Berks County lake on Sunday, June 5, WFMZ reports. Albert Castro Beato, of Lebanon, was identified by the Berks County Coroner's Office as the swimmer who drowned at the Blue Marsh Lake near Old Church Road around 4:30 p.m., the outlet says.
