Cop, Motorist Exchange Gunfire In Philly Road Rage Incident: Police An off-duty Philadelphia police officer and a person on a scooter traded gunfire on a Roxborough street late Thursday night, authorities told Daily Voice.  It happened around 10 p.m. on June 8, the department said. The scooter driver, authorities claimed, shot into the off-duty cop's vehicle during a road rage incident.  The officer returned fire, but city police said no one was injured. Authorities did not report making an arrest.

Off-Duty Philly Officer Killed On Way Home From Work: Report An off-duty Philadelphia police officer was killed in a crash Thursday, June 23, CBS3 reports. The 50-year-old officer was on his way home from work when a BMW carrying three teenagers struck his Hyundai sedan on Bustleton Avenue around midnight, the outlet says.  The unidentified officer, who had been with the department for 30 years, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, according to the outlet. One Shot In Reading, Police Say One person was shot Thursday, April 28 in Reading, authorities said. An off-duty police officer witnessed the shooting, which broke out between Marion Street and Spring Street around 6:35 p.m., Reading Police Chief Richard Tornielli said in a Friday morning press release. The officer found a male gunshot victim, who was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the chief said. No further information was being released by the police.
