Sweeney, who was born in Coatesville, graduated from Henderson High School in 2012 and earned a civil engineering degree from Penn State University in 2016, according to his obituary.
The Bridgeport resident was remembered for his love of sports and for being a skilled home cook.
He is survived by his parents, sister, and her fiance, and many other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents.
Memorial services are set for Nov. 4 at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home in West Chester.
