Young Child's 'Severely Decomposed' Body Found In Duffel Bag In Philadelphia: Police
Police are investigating after a young child was found dead in a duffel bag in Philadelphia on Monday morning, March 18. The child was found on the 600 block of N. 38th Street in the Mantua section of West Philly, according to the department. Police said it was discovered by someone doing work behind a property on the block. The child has not yet been identified and their gender is unknown, police said. Human Remains Found In Luzerne County Identified As Wilkes-Barre Teen Girl Who Vanished In 1969
Pennsylvania State Police have identified the human remains found in Luzerne County nearly 10 years ago as a teenage girl who went missing in 1969, they announced Tuesday, Oct. 4. The remains were discovered on Nov. 17, 2012, by individuals digging for relics on the grounds of a former coal-mining operation in Newport Township, state police said. Authorities now know they belong to Joan Marie Dymond, who was 14 years old when she disappeared from Andover Street Park on June 25, 1969. Skeletal Remains Found Near Lehigh Shopping Center ID As 36-Year-Old NY Man
Skeletal remains found near a Lehigh County shopping center were identified as a 36-year-old New York man, PennLive reports. The remains of Bryan Geel Jr., 36, of Chatham, N.Y., was found March 8 in a wooded area in the 2100 block of Hoover Avenue in Hanover Township, the news outlet reports. The area where investigators found the body of Geel Jr. is also not far from a shopping center on Airport Road that houses a BJ's Wholesale Club, PennLive says.
