Harleysville Driver, 36, Killed In Bucks County Crash A 36-year-old driver from Montgomery County was killed in a crash in Bucks County, authorities said. Robert Strohm, of Harleysville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at about 6:30 p.m., according to Hilltown police. The crash occurred at the intersection of Route 113 at Diamond Street. The second driver was transported by ambulance to Grand View Hospital with unspecified injuries, police said. Longtime Perkasie Fire Captain Dies At 55 Christopher R. Pettit Sr., a Fire Police captain with the Perkasie Fire Company, died suddenly on Friday, June 30, his loved ones said in his obituary. Police discovered a woman lying face down in the parking lot behind an apartment complex in the 3900 block of Eastport Way in Harleysville around 6:30 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police said. Investigators believe the victim was killed in a hit-and-run crash, according to a news release. The victim has yet to be publicly identified. The investigation remains ongoing. Jordan Sims was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, with a 24-year-old female passenger, also from Harleysville, in the front passenger seat at the time, westbound, when it struck a 2006 Nissan Murano in the eastbound lane, Towamencin Police Chief Tim Troxel said.
