Overturned Tractor Trailer Shuts All Lanes At NJ Turnpike/Route 3 Ramp In East Rutherford
An overturned tractor-trailer brought traffic to a halt on the NJ Turnpike ramp to Route 3 in East Rutherford on Monday morning, Dec. 9, according to the NJDOT website. Emergency response vehicles remained on the scene as of 10:30 a.m., with all westbound lanes closed at Interchange 16W, the website reported. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes as crews work to clear the area. No additional details about the incident were immediately available.

Glen Rock Man, 70, Charged For Attack On Crossing Guard: Police
A 70-year-old man has been arrested in the attack of a crossing guard in Glen Rock, officials said. Daniel Miller, of Glen Rock, was identified by police as the driver of a red 2011 Chrysler 200 who honked, yelled, and then slowly drove towards the crossing guard stationed at Rock Road and Maple Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said on Monday, Dec. 9. Firefighters swiftly extinguished a two-alarm house fire that erupted Sunday afternoon, Dec. 8, in New Rochelle. The fire broke out shortly after 4 p.m. at a residence located at 1347 North Ave. Crews worked diligently to contain the blaze, bringing it under control just before 6 p.m., local resident and fire buff Domenic Ramacciato tells Daily Voice.
