State police investigators hope to shed new light on the 1991 murder of a West Philadelphia man. Derek Michael Mason was last seen leaving his South 39th Street home in October of that year, according to troopers. His remains were discovered off the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Clay Township, Lancaster County in January 1992. Brown, a 33-year-old Philadelphia resident, was shot once in the head near Exit 4 on Interstate 95 on Oct. 18, 2019. Danny Kelly Jr., of Clinton, was behind the wheel of his family's SUV on St. Barnabas Road in Temple Hills, with his girlfriend and three children in the car, Prince George's police said.
