A high-ranking firefighter in Delaware County is accused of courting, grooming, and inappropriately touching a 16-year-old volunteer for a period of months, according to the affidavit obtained by Daily Voice. Matthew Bateman, the 28-year-old Deputy Chief of the Folcroft Fire Company, is charged with institutional sexual abuse of a minor and more than a dozen related counts, state court records show.
