'Princess' Brynley Kropnick, 4, Remembered After Fatal Harrisburg Crash
A 4-year-old girl known for her love of life, learning, and chocolate ice cream with sprinkles has been identified as the victim of a devastating crash in Harrisburg earlier this month, authorities confirmed to Daily Voice on Friday, Nov. 29.
Brynley “Bryn” Eliza Kropnick, of East Lampeter Township, was fatally injured in a vehicle accident at the U.S. Route 22/322 interchange with Interstate 81 on Friday, Nov. 8, around 6:15 p.m., according to the Dauphin County Coroner's Office. Her manner of death was ruled accidental after an autopsy on Nov. 12.

A former police corporal has died, the Darby Borough Police announced on Monday, July 29.
Retired Darby Borough K9 Police Officer Thomas "Tom" Takacs Sr., 53, of Upper Chichester (formerly of Norwood and Tinicum) passed Friday, July 26, 2024, at home, according to his obituary posted by the Marvil Funeral Home.
Tom "retired in 2009 after 10 years of service," as written in his obituary. Before he was a police officer, Tom was a K-9 officer at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility.

Montgomery County's own David's Bridal will send more than 9,000 workers home in an upcoming round of layoffs, according to a disclosure form it filed with the state Department of Labor and Industry.
The Conshohocken-based wedding retailer expects to lay off 9,236 employees nationwide in a three-phase plan that began on Friday, April 14, according to the state website.

Serial Bank Robber Who Nearly Killed PA Trooper Trying To Arrest Him Gets 25 Years
A serial bank robber who nearly killed a Pennsylvania State Police trooper trying to arrest him was sentenced to 25 years in prison, authorities said.
Christopher Larue, 44, was on supervised release after serving a 12-year prison sentence when he entered the QNB Bank in Perkasie brandishing a gun and robbing the bank of $11,000 on Oct. 19, 2020, United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams said.
Larue, of Lansdale, was convicted in 2009 of five additional bank robberies, the attorney said.
