A 44-year-old kayaker was found dead in Swatara Creek, the Dauphin County Coroner's Office confirmed Friday morning. The Lancaster man was kayaking with friends when "he appears to have had a medical event," on Thursday, June 13, according to the coroner's release. A gunshot victim who survived 11 years following the shooting passed on Thursday at a Harrisburg hospital. On March 27, 2024, the police announced they have launched a homicide investigation into his death. Tyrone McLemore, 33 of Harrisburg, died on March 21, 2024, the Harrisburg police explained. Investigators are working to identify human remains fished out of a retention basin in Towamencin Township on Monday, March 18, police said in a release. A contractor called police after finding a human skull in the retention basin at Welsh Road and Grist Mill Drive around noon, according to authorities. Coroner IDs Body Found In Bethlehem Parking Lot
Authorities have named the man whose body was found near a Bethlehem Burger King on Saturday, Feb. 24. Sergio Barajas of Allentown, 31, was found in the parking lot at 2141 Stefko Boulevard, said the Northampton County Coroner's Office in a release. His autopsy was completed on Monday, Feb. 26 but his cause and manner of death are pending further testing, Coroner Zachary Lysek said. Woman Dies After Fall At PA Prison, Investigation Launched: DA
Authorities are investigating after an inmate fell to her death at the Monroe County Correctional Facility, according to the District Attorney's Office. The unnamed 42-year-old woman fell from an "upper tier" at the prison early Sunday morning, Feb. 4, and was badly injured, officials said.
