Ponytailed Burglar Scared Off From Bayville Home, Police Say
A Long Island woman’s home security system may have stopped a burglary in progress after she spotted a stranger trying to break in.
The 36-year-old Bayville homeowner was at her Creek Ridge Road residence at around 9:20 p.m. Monday, July 28, when she saw a man attempting to force his way into her home on her surveillance cameras, according to Nassau County Police. She immediately called 911.
Before officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene.
On Wednesday, July 30, police announced that officers had arrested Kevin Lindstrom, 57, of Bayville, in connection with the incident.

Every parent's worst nightmare came true for one couple in Northern Virginia when a cherry became lodged in their toddler's throat, and they weren't able to get it out.
Nikki Ing was outside with her husband and some of their children when her youngest son, Karter, 2, began choking on a defrosted, pitted, frozen cherry last week, she said on a GoFundMe campaign.

Police announced that the missing woman was found around 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, according to the Boston Police Department.

Yvonne Gadson, of Dorchester, was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 near 236 Blue Hill Avenue in Boston, according to the Boston Police Department.
