200+ Layoffs Expected As FedEx Facility Closes In Central PA A Central Pennsylvania FedEx will close its doors and lay off over two hundred employees, according to a WARN Notice by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The FedEx Supply Chain Inc. at 115 Willow Springs Lane in York is set to close on Sept. 30.  The layoffs at the facility will include 220 people. The company will assist the affected employees with finding new positions, according to a FedEx spokesperson. 3 Pittsburgh Residents Charged With Stealing $880K+ In Illegally Obtained PUA Funds Authorities on Monday announced three Pittsburgh residents were charged with stealing more than $800,000 in Pandemic Unemployment Assistance funds. Linda Slade, 51, Dr. Rochelle Oaks, 66, and Keith Brown, 53, were each charged with operating a scheme to apply for PUA funding on behalf of at least 90 people, according to PA Attorney General Josh Shapiro.  Slade and Oaks submitted applications for interested participants, while Brown collected fees from the individuals to pay Oaks, Shapiro said.
