A Pennsylvania teen is facing homicide by vehicle and other charges after police claim he sped through a residential street at nearly 70 mph, struck a landscaper, and fled the scene, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Friday, Feb. 21.
Shakim Elias Mendez, 18, of Flourtown, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Wilmington, Delaware, on Feb. 20, 2025, in connection to the Nov. 8, 2024, hit-and-run that killed Artemio De La Rosa Martinez, 35, of Norristown, authorities announced.

A 32-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the head and face inside the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center (PICC) on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., according to Philadelphia police.

Police are on the hunt for three girls who became unruly, assaulted staff members, and vandalized cars at a Philadelphia pool, authorities said.
