Here's Livestream For Gaudreau Brothers' PA Funeral A funeral service for brothers Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau is underway. The brothers were struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver while riding their bicycles on Aug. 29 in New Jersey. The service began at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at  St Mary Magdalen's Church in Media, PA.  Police said that the event will cause major impacts to traffic.

Teen Bicyclist Struck Dead, PA State Police Say A 19-year-old bicyclist from Susquehanna was struck and killed at a stop sign, authorities said. Hannah E. Shaffer died at about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1 on East Main Street west of Spring Avenue in Susquehanna Depot, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The driver of the car, Todd M. Caward, 45, of Starlight was not injured or ticketed, police said. It appears that Shaffer drove through the stop sign before getting hit by the car, police said. Johnny Gaudreau of Carneys Point and Matthew Gaudreau of Pedricktown died on Thursday, Aug. 29, a state police spokesperson confirmed to Daily Voice. Troopers responded to the crash near milepost 11.1 on County Route 551 in Oldmans Township at around 8:19 p.m. Sean Higgins of Woodstown was accused of driving drunk during the crash. Child Bicyclist Struck In Ephrata: Police A 9-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle on Sunday, police announced.  The boy was hit by an 83-year-old Akron driver's vehicle after around 7:40 a.m. on July 8, 2023, Ephrata police explained.  The crash happened at the intersection of South State and West Fulton streets in Ephrata Borough.  The boy had failed to stop at a red traffic light and was not wearing a bicycle helmet, according to the police.  The boy was transported to Penn Health-Lancaster General Hospital with "injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening" the police said.
