Crash With Injuries Closes 2nd Street Near Turnpike In Highspire A vehicle crash with injuries shut down part of 2nd Street near the Turnpike overpass in Highspire on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7:01 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene and urged drivers to avoid the area while they worked to assist the injured and clear the wreckage, according to Citizen's Fire Company-Highspire. Details about the crash and the number of people injured were not immediately available.

Suspect At-Large Following Armed Robbery At Turkey Hill In Highspire: Police A man who robbed a Turkey Hill cashier at gunpoint is wanted by the police.  The suspect pictured entered the Highspire Turkey Hill located at  686 2nd Street on Tuesday, Oct. 25 around 7 p.m., according to a release by area police the following morning. Upon entering he "displayed a gun forcing the cashier to hand him money," as stated in the release.
