Female Fisherman Dies After Boat Capsizes In Susquehanna River
A female fisherman died after the boat she was on capsized in the Susquehanna River Friday night, authorities said. The boat's occupants, all from Duncannon, were fishing near the York Haven Hydro Station when the vessel capsized near 111 Collins Road in Conoy Township just after 8:50 p.m., Susquehanna Regional Police Department said. The occupants were ejected and rescued by the Bainbridge Fire Department, who transported to them Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Christina Elaine King was identified as one of the occupants and later pronounced deceased. …

Multiple Victims Including Children Airlifted In Veterans Memorial Bridge Crash
Eight people including children were injured Sunday in a crash on the Veterans Memorial Bridge in Lancaster County, authorities said. The two-vehicle crash occurred just before 5 p.m. on the Route 462 bridge over the Susquehanna River, Lancaster Online reports. Six children and one infant were apparently among those injured, the outlet says citing a dispatch report. The bridge, also known as the Wrightsville-Columbia Bridge, had reopened as of 8 p.m.

Boy, 5, Drowns In Susquehanna River In Lancaster County
A 5-year-old boy has been pronounced dead by the Lancaster County Coroner four hours after he went missing along the Susquehanna River on Sunday. A search for the boy was launched in the area of the Falmouth boat access in Bainbridge on Sunday afternoon after the boy’s mother contacted local police. The boy fell into the river prior to the mother’s call, as she told police. After a search by boat, helicopter and along the shore, the boy was found in the area he was last seen playing. A boater in Lancaster County may have found human remains in the Susquehanna River over the weekend, according to local authorities. Man Arrested After Jumping In Susquehanna River To Avoid Apprehension
A man jumped into the Susquehanna River last Wednesday to avoid apprehension on a warrant in a different county, according to Swatara Township police. Police responded to a call of a drunk man trespassing in the 800 Block of N. Front Street, Wormleysburg on July 14 around 2:15 p.m. When officers arrived, the man fled on foot and jumped into the Susquehanna River. : Police Pursuing Fugitives On Susquehanna River Required Emergency Rescue
An emergency rescue took place on the Susquehanna River on Wednesday afternoon, according to Emergency Dispatch Services in Dauphin County Police in Cumberland County were pursuing at least one fugitive which led them on a chase down to the river in Harrisburg. At least one member of police from Cumberland and at least one fugitive were rescued from a boat. One fugitive has been arrested.
