Lancaster Teen Charged With Armed Robbery At Tobacco King In Ephrata: Police
A 16-year-old boy from Lancaster has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at the Tobacco King store in Ephrata, police announced on Monday, Nov. 25.
The teen faces multiple charges, including felony robbery, felony firearms not to be carried without a license, misdemeanor possession of a firearm by a minor, and misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person, according to Ephrata police.

The accused shooter, Lorenzo O'branty of Lancaster, has been charged the following crimes, the police announced on Friday, July 21, 2023:
Felony aggravated assault.
Felony discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure.
Misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person.

Fugitive Nabbed In Lancaster, Police Say
A convicted burglar who absconded from justice has been arrested.
Taleek Azan Perez, 25, of Lancaster was arrested by the US Marshal Fugitive Task Force in the 100 block of South Third Street in Columbia Borough around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, according to the Columbia Borough of Police, who assisted the marshals.
Perez was wanted on an outstanding warrant after he fled from state parole, according to the police.

A man was held by his hair and slashed across the face "ear to ear" outside his Lancaster home, police say.
Former convict Alex Lamont Baker, 31, of Lancaster, was arrested on a warrant in connection with the stabbing on Monday, August 1, according to an updated release by the Lancaster Bureau of Police.

Historic Downtown Lancaster Reopens After Police Incident
Lancaster's popular and historic Penn Square was suddenly evacuated and detours were been put in place due to a "police incident" on Monday, May 4, police say.
Penn Square was closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic, as of approximately 9:30 a.m., according to a statement by the Lancaster Bureau of Police.
Traffic was temporarily blocked at West King, North Prince, South Queen, and West Vine streets, according to the statement.

A central Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to life in prison in connection with a 2019 murder, according a release by the Lancaster County district attorney's office.
Raymond Lydell Speller, 40, of Lancaster, was sentenced for killing Pedro Almodovar, 36, on Friday by Lancaster County Judge Jeffery Wright according to the release.
Almodovar was killed while sitting in a parked red SUV in the 300 block of Howard Avenue on Sept. 23, 2019, as Lancaster Bureau of police reported at the time.
