PA Man Pleads No Contest In Sword Slaying Of Parents, Dogs: Court Docs
A 43-year-old man who was accused of killing his parents and the family dogs with a sword entered a plea of no contest in September 2024. His trial was supposed to start Monday, Sept. 16.

36 Animals Including Bull, Chickens Rescued From School Bus Trailer In PA, SPCA Says
Thirty birds, four dogs, one bull, and one pony were removed from a school bus and trailer in Adams County over the weekend, according to the SPCA.
Eastern Adams Regional police called SPCA members to Hanover Street and Red Hill Road on Saturday night, the organization said in a release.
Police had discovered the animals in the bus and accompanying trailer after arresting the driver on out-of-state warrants, officials said. The animals were given water and kept secure until Sunday when they could be removed.

Dog Shot Dead Inside Lancaster County Home, Police Say
A Lancaster County man "shot and killed his dog inside his residence," on Thursday, police announced on Oct 23.
Mark Teague, 63, of Denver, shot the dog after an unknown "incident" at his home in the first block of Main Street in Denver at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Oct. 19, according to the release by East Cocalico police.
Officers arrived at his home following the shooting, after receiving reports of "shots fired," as stated in the release.

A 22-year-old man wanted in connection with a deadly drive-by shooting of a dog in central Pennsylvania fled to Ohio, authorities say.
Kaywan Dean Johnson, of Chambersburg, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals in Youngstown, Ohio on Thursday, July 28th, according to Chambersburg police.
One of his two co-conspirators, Dajohn Na'Rayn Sanders, also 22 of Chambersburg, was arrested on Friday, July 22, police say.
The men were wanted in connection with the drive-by shooting in the 350 block of Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg on July 12, according to area police.
