Prices of Arabica coffee hit record highs in the aftermath of threats of tariffs by both the United States and Colombia after a dispute involving migrant deportation flights. Arabica futures hit a record of $3.56 in the Intercontinental Exchange on Monday, Jan. 27, a day after the back-and-forth dustup a day earlier, according to The Wall Street Journal. A barricade situation that lasted nearly five hours at a Montgomery County business ended peacefully, WFMZ reports. Officers were called to the 100 block of Garden Golf Boulevard in Montgomery Township around 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 after a person barricaded themself inside a closed business and threatened self-harm, the outlet says. SWAT Standoff Ends Peacefully In Honey Brook: Report
UPDATE: A SWAT standoff ended peacefully Thursday, April 28 in Honey Brook, Daily Local reports. PA State Police, local police, and the Chester County Emergency Response Team were dispatched, along with EMS, on a report of a barricaded person with a gun on Patton Drive in Lazy Acres mobile home around 9:15 a.m., the outlet says. After several hours of negotiations, the man peacefully surrendered around 3:30 p.m., according to the outlet. No injuries were reported. Route 322 was temporarily closed due to the incident.
