A 33-year-old man faces reckless endangerment charges after a 5-year-old shot himself in the leg twice on Sunday, Jan. 7, authorities say. Philadelphia police said they were called to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children around 5:15 p.m. when the victim showed up in a private vehicle with two gunshot wounds. PA Dad Who Left Gun Unsecured Charged With 3-Year-Old Son's Shooting
A Pennsylvania dad who was not in the car when his three-year-old son found an unsecured gun and accidentally shot himself has been charged for his role in the shooting, authorities said. Jameer Walker, 24, surrendered to Caln Township police soon after the July incident and is charged with endangering the welfare of children, reckless endangerment, and carrying a firearm without a license, according to Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan. Maryland Girl Faces Criminal Charges In Accidental Shooting Of Teenage Boy: Police
A 15-year-old girl faces manslaughter charges after shooting a 16-year-old boy in Oxon Hill, in what police believe was an accident, according to officials. The juvenile girl was handling a firearm at a home in the 4900 block of Glassmanor Drive when it discharged, striking the teenage boy at around 6:00 p.m. on Jan. 26, Prince George's County Police said. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. Detectives believe the shooting was an accident and are continuing their investigation.
