Support Surges For Family Of PA Skydiver Killed In NJ Accident

Support is surging for the family of a 48-year-old Pennsylvania skydiver who was killed in a New Jersey accident last week.

Tim Slachta, of Garnet Valley, died Wednesday, May 10 while jumping over Monroe Township.

A seasoned jumper, Slachta leaves behind is wife, Sue, and their two boys.

More than $2,800 had been raised as of Tuesday, May 16 on a GoFundMe for the family, launched by Slachta's friends.

"Tim was a hallmark at Duffers Pub, Glen mills," the campaign reads. "Traveling was one of his many hobbies as well as outdoor sports with his sons. He passed on his love of winter sports to Kevin and TJ. 

"Sue and the boys are now struggling with an immense and unimaginable loss that has shaken their world to the core. His sons are now having to navigate life without a father and struggling to cope with such a loss at only 16 years old."
