A Pennsylvania man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at the Aeropostale store in Leesburg that robbed the business of thousands, police say. Philadelphia's Timothy Root was arrested in Lebanon County over the weekend and is being held pending his extradition back to Virginia to face multiple charges. A Christmas Day burglary at a closed Lowe's in Plymouth Township led to the arrest of a man after a chase involving a box truck, foot pursuit, and a K9 unit, authorities said. A Philadelphia man who fatally stabbed a Macy's security guard and injured another during a robbery attempt has pleaded guilty to murder, authorities announced. Tyrone Tunnell, 31, admitted to killing 27-year-old Eric Harrison and wounding a second guard during a confrontation at the Macy's store on 13th and Market streets in December 2023, police said. A 25-year-old man from the Bronx is accused of stealing $4,487 worth of sunglasses in Bucks County, authorities said on Thursday, Aug. 15. To fight the recent rise in shoplifting and retail theft, shoppers could see store security employees wearing body-worn cameras to help catch thieves red-handed. State police in Delaware County are looking for two people in connection with a May 5 retail theft. The robbers stole about $14,300 in sunglasses from the LensCrafters at 539 Wilmington West Chester Pike in Glen Mills, troopers said in a release.
