Gas Leak Shutters Penn Square In Lancaster: Police (Update) A gas leak closed Penn Square in Lancaster on Friday, July 7, 2023.  All vehicle traffic at Penn Square was diverted north onto Queen Street, according to a post by the Lancaster Bureau of Police.  The leak appears to have involved a boiler in the area of East King and North Duke streets in the City, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications.  "No foot traffic (was) allowed in 100 Block East King," police said.  UGI has cleared the scene, according to the police and dispatch.
