A child is dead and five other people — including four children — were hurt in a fire in Lebanon City on Friday morning Sept. 13, officials explained. A child under the age of five died at the scene of the fire in the 1300 block of Brandywine Street, officials said. Four other children were injured and an elderly woman was medically evacuated by helicopter from the scene to Hershey Medical Center. Three days before his fourth birthday, a Mechanicsburg boy was crushed to death by a hay bale, authorities announced on July 13, 2023. A large hay bale fell on 3-year-old Lincoln Nathan Johns at a farm on Davis Lane in Taylor Township on July 1, according to a Pennsylvania State Police on Thursday.
