Power Outages Reported Across Pennsylvania After Overnight Storms
Thousands of Pennsylvanians are still without power after severe thunderstorms downed trees across the region on Tuesday, July 16. The outages are mostly concentrated in the following areas, according to the PPL and Met-Ed outage maps: Fontaine Atglen Wyomissing Lanark Hanover Brogue/Collinsville Emigsville Tinicum (Bucks) Met-Ed offered no immediate timeline for the restoration of service to more than 17,000 customers without power. PA Dad Electrocuted While On The Job, Authorities Say
A beloved Pennsylvania dad died after striking an active electrical line while working, authorities say. Marty Mundis, 49, of the 800 block of West Broadway, York Township, was killed while on a job site in 12000 block of Mt Olivet Road in North Hopewell Township on Monday, according to a release by the York County Coroner's Office. The coroner was called to a report "that a man died after they struck a high-voltage electrical line" at 12:18 p.m. on Aug. 21. Thousands Without Power After Transformer Explodes In Berks County
More than 3,100 Met-Ed customers from Berks County were left without power Wednesday, July 13, authorities said. A transformer exploded at the Hamburg substation, borough police said on Facebook. Met-Ed estimated at least 3,128 electric customers were without service in the county as of 5:50 p.m. Police added that Met-Ed "is working as fast as possible to resolve the issue." Further details were not immediately known. Anyone experiencing an emergency has been urged by the department to call 610-655-4911.

OUT: Thousands Of Pennsylvania Residents Remain Without Power
Thousands of Pennsylvania residents were still without power due to Tropical Depression Ida as of Friday. PPL's tracker showed 5,197 without power around the same time. Most of those outages were reported in Bucks, Lehigh, Perry and Schuylkill counties.
