Man Wanted For Skipping Hearing On DUI Crash In Kennett Square A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a DUI crash suspect, authorities said on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Jose Mendez-Lopez, 28, is wanted in connection with the 7 p.m. crash on Feb. 17, Kennett Square police said. He skipped his preliminary court hearing on Aug. 21, they said. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of S. Union Street and W. South Street for a report of a two-vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Driver In Kennett Square Hit-Run Was DUI, Police Claim The driver accused of fleeing the scene of a two-car crash in Kennett Square is now also accused of driving under the influence, authorities say.  Kennett Square police said they were called to the corner of South Union and West South streets around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17 for a wreck.
