A high-ranking firefighter in Delaware County is accused of courting, grooming, and inappropriately touching a 16-year-old volunteer for a period of months, according to the affidavit obtained by Daily Voice. Matthew Bateman, the 28-year-old Deputy Chief of the Folcroft Fire Company, is charged with institutional sexual abuse of a minor and more than a dozen related counts, state court records show. Car Overturns After Striking Parked Car In Delaware County
A car overturned after it struck a parked car in Folcroft (Delaware County) Friday morning, fire officials said. The driver was not trapped but did suffer from moderate injuries after striking the unoccupied parked car in the 1500 block of Delmar Drive around 9:30 a.m., according to initial emergency dispatch reports and Folcroft Fire Company. Fire crews were on the scene for about 30 minutes controlling hazards and clearing debris from the roadway, fire officials said.

Trapped Driver Rescued After Crashing Into Office Complex In Delaware County
A trapped driver was rescued from their car after they crashed into an office complex in Delaware County early Monday morning, CBSN Philly reports. The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday at Chester Pike and East Boon Avenue in Glenolden, the news outlet reports. The driver's injuries and the cause of the crash are still unknown. The Glenolden Fire Company Station was assisted by the Folcroft Fire Company, Collingdale Fire Company, and Holmes Fire Company.
