A 67-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash in Lower Nazareth Township, authorities said. Susan Henderson, of Norristown, died as a result of injuries in the crash by a wrong-way speeding driver, Pennsylvania State Police said. The crash occurred at about 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27 on Hecktown Road. A boy was killed in a car crash just days before starting his senior year of high school, his mother said on Friday, Aug. 16. Jaxon Phetsavanh, 17, of Hellertown, has died following a crash along the Route 33 Southbound Exit Ramp to Route 248 in Lower Nazareth Township on Thursday, Aug. 15, according to a release by the Northampton County Coroner's Office. Three firefighters were sent to a nearby hospital after a floor collapsed while they were battling a blaze in the Lehigh Valley area, authorities said. Several deep sinkholes and crumbling surfaces have caused an indefinite shutdown of a Lehigh Valley roadway. The sinkholes emerged on Hollo Road west of the Schoeneck Creek bridge in Palmer Township on Thursday, August 4, a release from Lower Nazareth Township said. Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man caught on surveillance footage stealing a wallet from a Lehigh Valley Walmart. The wallet was left in a self-checkout lane by a customer at the Lower Nazareth Township store before the man picked it up and left on Oct. 7, Colonial Regional Police said.
