Woman, 87, Dies Nine Days After Being Rescued From Burning Allentown Home: Authorities
An 87-year-old woman who was rescued from an Allentown house fire last month has died from her injuries, authorities said.
Nancy L. Joseph, of Allentown, died Sunday, Oct. 2 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest after she was rescued from a house fire on Friday, Sept. 23 on the 700 block of E. Tilghman Street, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
Joseph died of complications from smoke inhalation, the coroner said.
A second person was also pulled from the burning home, and brought to a local hospital. Authorities initially said both victims were in stable condition. …
Teen Charged As Adult In Shooting Death Of William Allen High School Football Player
A teenager in Lehigh County will be charged as an adult for his role in the shooting death of a William Allen High School football player, authorities said.
Elijah Patterson, 16, was arrested on Monday, Sept. 26, and charged with criminal homicide, firearms not to be carried without a license, and possession of a firearm by a minor, in connection with the death of 15-year-old Treshawn Tracy, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin and Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca.

Pregnant Woman, Unborn Baby Die In Allentown Car Crash, Coroner Says
A pregnant woman and her unborn baby died in a car crash in Allentown, authorities said.
Sara M. Baskerville, of Allentown, was pronounced dead at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem at 2:39 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. She was 35.
Baskerville was the back-seat passenger in a car that struck another vehicle in the area of American Parkway and N. Irving Street around 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, officials said.
