Woman Charged For Breaking Into Tiger Enclosure At NJ Zoo, Police Say
A Millville woman was accused of hopping a fence at a Bridgeton zoo and trying to pet a Bengal tiger, authorities said. Zyair Dennis, 24, was charged with one count of defiant trespassing, the Bridgeton Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Aug. 26. She was also cited for two violations of city ordinances about people climbing fences at Cohanzick Zoo. A 40-year-old South Jersey man has been sentenced to 45 years in state prison in the fatal shooting of a barber who gave him a lift from a crash scene, authorities said. Jule Hannah of Bridgeton was found guilty in July of first-degree murder and weapons charges by a Cumberland County Jury, according to Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Fugitive Wanted In Triple NJ Shooting Captured By US Marshals In Philadelphia
A man wanted in a triple shooting in South Jersey has been captured with the help of U.S. Marshals, authorities said. Tyzir Hall was located in Philadelphia and taken into custody on Tuesday, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae On Feb. 8 at 3:43 PM, Bridgeton police responded to the 400 block of South Avenue on a report of a shooting, Webb McRae said. An angry South Jersey police officer doused a drunk driver with pepper spray twice after he’d been handcuffed, then filed a false report about the incident, an indictment returned by a federal grand jury on Thursday alleges.
