Pair Of Pedestrians ID'd After Deadly Strike In Allentown: Coroner (Updated)

Officials have named the two Allentown pedestrians killed in an early morning crash on Sunday, Dec. 10. 

Luz Daneza Ruiz Acosta, 43, and Christopher E. Stocker, 44, were struck on the 300 block of West Hamilton Street around 1:15 a.m., said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. 

They were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where Ruiz Acosta died around 2 a.m. and Stocker died around 2:45 a.m., authorities said. 

Both died from blunt force injuries, the Coroner's Office said Wednesday, Dec. 13. Their manners of death were ruled accidental. 

Allentown police said the driver was not injured. 

APD and the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office are investigating, officials added.
