Dog Found With Abscesses, Infected Ears: Owner From Mahopac Charged, Officials Say A 33-year-old man was criminally charged after allegedly neglecting his Havanese mix puppy, who was found suffering from severe infections and abscesses in Dutchess County, officials announced.  The investigation began on Monday, Jan. 29, when the Town of East Fishkill Police contacted the Putnam County SPCA after the puppy’s owner brought the dog, named "Max," to a veterinary office in East Fishkill. 2-Car Crash Causes Injuries, Lane Closure At Mahopac Intersection A 2-car crash at a Putnam County intersection caused a brief road closure and resulted in injuries, fire crews said. The incident happened on Friday, Feb. 7 at around 3:30 p.m., when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Route 6 and Mount Hope Road in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  One person involved in the crash was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, while the other refused transport.  The lanes from Route 6 to East Lake Boulevard were closed for around a half hour while the vehicles were removed from the road.
