According to BEAHIVE's website, this pioneering coworking space was established in 2009 in Beacon as a hub for entrepreneurs, creatives, tech enthusiasts, nonprofit leaders, activists, and community organizers.
The flagship location, originally situated in the iconic Telephone Building on Main St., relocated in 2023 to a newly renovated space at 6 Eliza St., and this plant-filled environment features an open, airy communal lounge and kitchen with large storefront windows, multiple meeting rooms, privacy pods, and 14 private offices, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere, per its website.
Founder Scott Tillitt expressed his gratitude for the award.
"Since 2009 we’ve engaged thousands of denizens and dozens of community groups and nonprofits through membership, events and programs," he said. "We’ve facilitated life-changing connections and important conversations, and it’s so validating to be recognized for that."
