Hudson Valley Bridge Reopened to Traffic Following Construction A Hudson Valley bridge has reopened to traffic following replacement of the old structure. The Dutchess County Department of Public Works announced that the replacement of a bridge on Ridge Road in the town of Dover had been completed, and the structure had been opened to traffic. Work on the bridge began in the Spring and included replacing the structure, located over the Mill River near the intersection of Cooperstown Road, with a new, wider bridge that includes three-foot shoulders and slightly straightening the surrounding roadway to improve motorists' safety.  The department said…

Orange County resident Kirkland Salmon, age 42, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty in Orange County Court to criminal possession of a controlled substance, sale of a firearm, and conspiracy on Tuesday, Oct. 1. A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash after her car rolled multiple times on the Adirondack Northway.  The collision occurred in Saratoga County around 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, on the Northway north of the Exit 14 off-ramp in Saratoga Springs. Orange County resident Jesse Boniface, age 52, of Middletown, was convicted on Tuesday, Oct. 1, of the rape which occurred in the town of Crawford, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Suspect On Loose After Teen Stabbed In Broad Daylight In Hudson Valley Police iare searching for a suspect in connection with an altercation that left a teen stabbed in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, around 4 p.m. in the area of Main Street and South Brett Street in Beacon.  According to Beacon Police Chief Thomas Figlia, the victim, a 16-year-old, suffered a superficial wound to the leg and was treated and released from the hospital.  The investigation is ongoing.  This is a developing story. Woman Critical After Stabbing, Assault On Hudson Valley Street Police are investigating and searching for a suspect after a woman was found stabbed and assaulted on a Hudson Valley street. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Monday, Sept. 30, around 7:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Main Street in Poughkeepsie. According to the Poughkeepsie Police, officers found the 35-year-old woman semi-conscious with severe facial wounds and a stab wound to the back.
