A man was slashed in the head with a machete inside a New York laundromat, leading to an attempted murder charge against a man, police said.
Officers responded to the Lucky Cat Laundromat at 133 Madison Ave. around noon on Saturday, July 18, for reports of a stabbing, according to the Albany Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old Bethlehem man suffering from a laceration to his forehead, authorities said.
An investigation determined that Chance Niccoli, 30, of Bethlehem, had allegedly stabbed the victim in the head with a machete, police said.

A New York man has pleaded guilty in a deadly car crash last year, in which police said he was impaired, authorities announced Friday, July 17.
Jacob Snide, 34, admitted to second-degree manslaughter in the death of Patrick LaFortune Jr. in the Capital Region, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.

An Albany man who sold eight illegal guns to undercover cops was sentenced to several years in prison, authorities said Thursday, July 16.
Isaiah Foy, 21, got 10 years behind bars followed by five years of probation, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.
