Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Killed After Being Struck By SUV Overnight In Mastic A man was killed after being struck by an SUV on a Long Island roadway overnight. It happened around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, in Mastic. A 74-year-old Mastic woman was driving a 2019 Kia SUV southbound on Mastic Road, near Dover Avenue, when the vehicle struck the man riding a bicycle traveling southbound. The bicyclist, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead. Carteret Man Posing As Walmart Worker Scams NY Woman, 69, Out Of $20K: Police A phone call claiming to protect a Long Island resident's savings ended in a $20,000 scam carried out by a 51-year-old New Jersey man, according to authorities. The victim, a 69-year-old New Hyde Park woman, received the call from Tejas Kapur, of Carteret, who falsely identified himself as a Walmart employee, according to Nassau County Police. Kapur told the victim that there was fraudulent activity on her account and that her Social Security number was compromised, authorities said. Driving Instructor Accused Of Forcibly Touching Student In East Northport A Long Island driving instructor has been accused of inappropriately touching one of his students. Deer Park Man Impersonating DDS Worker Sexually Abused Resident At LI Facility: Police A man who impersonated a New York Department of Social Services employee has been accused of sexually abusing a resident at a shelter facility on Long Island. Man Driving Drunk Slams Into Cruiser On Long Island Expressway In Ronkonkoma: Police A man who was driving drunk on the Long Island Expressway slammed into a police cruiser and then another vehicle involved in an earlier crash overnight, according to authorities.
